Photobucket, FotoFlexer Combine Forces

BERKELEY, Calif. — Starting tomorrow, users of the free image-hosting service Photobucket will be able to edit their images in-browser using FotoFlexer, a free online alternative to Photoshop.

This new development offers budget-conscious adult webmasters a new way to edit images without spending the money on a premier program like Photoshop.

FotoFlexer made its debut last year among a larger crop of free online photo editors that includes Fauxto.com and Picnik.com.

Picnik recently struck a similar online-editing deal with one of Photobucket's chief competitors, Flickr.com.

Although Photobucket's terms of service forbid nudity in any uploaded images, webmasters may upload adult content to FotoFlexer as long as they label it as such.

FotoFlexer's online application offers dozens of common editing tools, including a photo crop, image resizing and basic color correction.

In addition to its photo editing features, FotoFlexer lets users build multiple albums that they can download or automatically add to their profiles on MySpace, Facebook, Photobucket, Yahoo and Picassa.

Dating and networking websites can embed FotoFlexer's technology into their user interface so that clients can edit their personal photos before adding them to profiles.
